Bio - Alexei Gorokhov

Alexei Gorokhov received his PHD in electrical engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications (Telecom Paris) in 1997. From 1997 till 2000 he has been with French National Research Center (CNRS). From 2000 to 2003 he has been with Philips Research Labs focusing on MIMO WLAN systems design and performance analysis. In the same period he has been visiting scientist in Information Systems Laboratory at Stanford University. He joined Qualcomm Inc in fall 2003 where he is currently Principal Engineer with Corporate R&D. At Qualcomm, Alexei has been working on design, evaluation and implementation of cellular broadband systems. He has been leading systems effort for OFDMA based air interface that gave rise to a 3GPP2 standard known as Ultra Mobile Broadband (UMB). His recent focus is on design, analysis and standardization of LTE evolution (LTE Advanced) as well as LTE modem development.
